Hepatitis E y la importación comercial de porcino

Miembros de ENZOEM – Universidad de Córdoba, junto con científicos del IMIBIC, han publicado un artículo científico en la revista One Health titulado Temporal changes in the genotypes of Paslahepevirus balayani in southern Spain and their possible link with changes in pig trade imports. El artículo evalúa la distribución temporal de los genotipos del virus de la hepatitis E (VHE o Paslahepevirus balayani) en una cohorte de pacientes con hepatitis aguda del sur de España durante el periodo de 2018-2022. El manuscrito destaca la emergencia de nuevos genotipos del VHE y lo relaciona con el incremento de la importación comercial de cerdos en los últimos años.

ENZOEM – Universidad de Córdoba members, together with IMIBIC researchers, have published a scientific article in One Health entitled Temporal changes in the genotypes of Paslahepevirus balayani in southern Spain and their possible link with changes in pig trade imports. The article evaluates the temporal distribution of hepatitis E virus (HEV or Paslahepevirus balayani) genotypes in a cohort of patients with acute hepatitis from southern Spain during the period 2018-2022. The manuscript highlights the emergence of new HEV genotypes and relates it to the increase in pig trade imports in recent years.
